Niki King Biography
Niki King is a jazz/soul singer-songwriter and producer whose evocative, powerful voice and emotive songwriting have garnered her several prestigious awards including the most recent 2024 Scottish Jazz Vocalist Award. Originally from Edinburgh, King moved to London and then New York for several years, where she recorded and performed throughout the city in renowned venues including The Metropolitan Room and The Blue Note. King has also performed around the world in leading venues and festivals and alongside many jazz and contemporary stars including the Average White Band, Gregory Porter and the legendary Al Green.
Additional accolades include winner of the Perrier Jazz Vocalist Award, The Scottish Style Award and The Spirit of Scotland Music Medal. Her sixth album and most recent release ‘The Everlasting Energy of Love’ has been hailed as a “cosmic masterpiece” (List).
