AJ Solaris’ future wave art-pop project M4TR (Music 4 The Revolution) brings you good times for the end times. Dance through dystopia with a fusion of new wave, synthpop, funk, disco, wit, and social critique, that explores our modern collapse and cosmic rebirth.

In 2025, AJ released Love Is The Revolution, M4TR’s third and most acclaimed album. Reviewers hailed it as “a high-concept, art-pop fever dream… utterly convinced that love might just be the last thing worth fighting for” and “emotionally piercing and unflinchingly sincere.”

Also in 2025, AJ released a 10-year retrospective on Bandcamp, celebrating a decade of sonic rebellion and over 2M+ streams, on 4K+ playlists in 150+ countries. Previous releases include M4TR LIVE (2024) with the project’s second live band, the lockdown LP Next (2021), and the debut LP Rock To Resist By (2018).

AJ performs and records with a rotating cast of artists who help reimagine the M4TR catalog. He’s busy with four albums: Reimagination: The Remixes with world-class DJs; Wintering, down-tempo meditations on retreat and change; By Intelligent Design, darkwave dance grooves exploring AI’s impact on humankind; and Arkolyte II, his sophomore world ambient album.

M4TR has performed live across the Washington DC area at Jammin Java, The Renegade, Pearl Street Warehouse, Public Bar Live, The Pocket, The Runaway, Songbyrd Café, Pie Shop, Adams Morgan Porchfest, Petworth Porchfest, Launch Music Fest, and more.
