Headsend Biography
HEADSEND is a rock band from Byron Bay, Australia. Founded by Rasmus King (vocals/guitar), the band delivers raw, nostalgic energy infused with a modern edge.
Rasmus began writing and recording original music in 2022. By 2024, HEADSEND had grown into a full band, with Rasmus joined by his brother Kyuss King (bass) and schoolmate Bon Soric (drums). Inspired by 90s rock icons like Fugazi, Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins, the trio blends their influences with touches of David Bowie, The Beatles, and Beck to create their unique sound.
The band’s debut single, “Secrets,” and its accompanying music video are set for release in early 2025. Collaborating with producers like Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, The 1975) and Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine), HEADSEND has honed an authentic, powerful sound. Live performances at Bangalow Bowlo on New Year’s Eve 2024 and Hollywood Hotel in Surry Hills, Sydney, January 2025, have packed venues and earned rave reviews from fans and industry alike.
Looking ahead, HEADSEND plans to return to the U.S. in 2025 for shows and further sessions with producers Brendan O’Brien and John Hill. Represented globally by TaP Management (Lana Del Rey, Dermot Kennedy, Caroline Polachek) and WME Agency, the band is poised for an exciting breakout year both on stage and in the studio.
