About this concert
“One of the most fascinating guitarists I’ve ever heard” – NPR Described as a “fire-breathing guitar hero” and dubbed “Spain’s King of Twang” by Guitar Player magazine, Latin Grammy winner Diego García, known as Twanguero, brings passion, poetry, and jaw-dropping skill to Brooklyn. Renowned for his fingerpicking finesse, signature twang, and genre-defying sound, Twanguero blends classical Spanish guitar with Latin rhythms, country, rockabilly, jazz, and even surf music. He prefers a more romantic description of himself: a “3-in-1 guitarist deeply in love with his instruments.” For longtime fans, Twanguero’s music is a gift. For those yet to discover him, it’s an experience waiting to unfold—an invitation to feel first, then find the words. Twanguero has performed and recorded with a dazzling roster of international artists, including Andrés Calamaro, Mercedes Sosa, Diego El Cigala, Wyclef Jean, Fito Páez, and Juanes. His work spans stage, studio, and screen, with soundtrack contributions for film, radio, and television across Spain and the Americas. 📅 Tuesday, November 25, 2025 – 8:00 PM 📍 First Unitarian Congregational Society, The Gothic Revival Sanctuary, Brooklyn, NY 11201

Good sound, large crowd, beautiful church. Diego was superb. I have played this venue myself, and I brought with me some musicians who had never seen him. They became Twanguero fans! Well done!
