This was a truly fantastic concert. Fantastic musicians who completely surrendered to the music. They also had a top-notch singer who performed beautifully. I've been following the band since the beginning, but this was the first time I heard them play live. It was also wonderful to see how the musicians challenged each other in their playing, adding just that little bit extra. The horn section really got into the swing of things, and the keyboardist often interacted with the guitarists. The lead singer, Roxanne Hartog, is incredibly talented, and I've seen her in videos branching out into fado songs and other types of performances. She's made enormous progress with her talent. She often writes her own songs, and you can tell from them that she's already developed quite a bit of hardened soul. This band has a very un-Dutch sound and deserves a much bigger stage. If you have the opportunity to see them play, don't miss it; you'll have a wonderful time for a few hours.

The Tibbs Biography
Reared on diet of Rhythm & Blues, Funk, Jazz, Pop and Ska, The Tibbs bring a unique blend of garage soul that could be traced back to the Detroit and Philly sounds of the ’60s and ’70s. A retro style infused with a distinctive Tibbs formula.
The Tibbs is a group of seasoned musicians who draw inspiration from the timeless music of the 1960s, channeling the emotional depth and raw authenticity of that era's classics. Led by their charismatic vocalist Roxanne Hartog and backed by a powerhouse lineup of drums, guitar, bass, organ and a three-piece horn section, they have been wowing audiences with their live performances.
The Tibbs originally took off in 2012 - fronted by the amazing Elsa Bekman – covering a lesser-trodden path, combining special soulclassics with rare beat instrumentals. Their increasing popularity quickly led to a natural desire to expand their repertoire, beyond the confines of others’ inspirational endeavours towards their own soulful creations.
Produced by Paul Willemsen (Beans & Fatback, Lefties Soul Connection, Michelle David & The Gospel Sessions), the resulting EP Cleaned Out debuted in 2014.
'Keep It to Yourself' (2024) is, after 'Takin’ Over' (2016, with singer Elsa Bekman) and 'Another Shot Fired' (2020), their third full studio album, and a testament to their dedication to keeping the soulful spirit alive.
