Paul Chin

Paul Chin is a multidisciplinary artist from Chinatown, Toronto.

Producing in his current incarnation since 2012, Paul is one of the most accomplished cultural producers to come up through the arts & culture landscape in Toronto. His approach to the work he creates in music, fashion, graphic design, and countless other fields draws from a deep reverence found as a student of parallel histories of global creative scenes. His affection for history, however, hasn’t estranged him from modernity, collaborating with the likes of Yamaha, Serato, Pioneer DJ, and Ableton as both a creator and an educator, making him a purveyor of the timeless-yet-adventurous.

His proven ability to deftly wield both technology and expert musicianship has made him a much sought after collaborator. As a result, Paul has been invited to share studios and stages across the US, Canada, and Japan with Babyface, Maylee Todd, Shigeto, Kid Koala, Shad, Daddy Kev, Korea Town Acid, Bambii, and many more.

Having forged his identity through the “bedroom producer” renaissance of the 2010s, and cultivated dedicated support from music lovers to survive in the chaotic beginning of the 2020s, the current era of his career sees Paul at the helm of Sanzuwu Group, a boutique record label dedicated to supporting and resourcing singularly gifted artists in bringing beautiful things to life in the real world.
