After touring with Dave Chappelle for a decade, Azhar Usman delivers comedy from the margins of every part of his identity: Indian. American. Muslim. Born and raised in Chicago, this veteran standup comic has written, acted, and/or produced for Netflix, Disney, and Amazon while maintaining his underground edge, offering a perspective you won’t find anywhere else.
His insider-outsider status as a media pirate who belongs everywhere and nowhere gives him the freedom to challenge everyone’s assumptions.
Azhar regularly performs at comedy clubs, theaters, private events, and university campuses all over the world and is a Staff Writer & Co-Executive Producer of two critically acclaimed, A24-produced original comedy series: RAMY on Hulu, and MO on Netflix.
