Redtenbacher’s Funkestra – FUNKOPIA Tour Celebrating their 30th anniversary, Redtenbacher’s Funkestra return to the stage with their trademark brand of high-energy instrumental jazz-funk. Bandleader Stefan Redtenbacher—the Austrian bassist, composer and producer—has nurtured this project since its founding at Berklee College of Music in the mid-90s, evolving it into a long-standing collective of top international players. For the past five years, the Funkestra has also served as the Masterlink Sessions Collective, recording hundreds of songs across genres with artists such as Rumer, Connor Selby and Jo Harman. Out of these activities grew the Joni Reimagined Project, with Stefan at the helm, which has produced two albums, international live shows and sold-out performances at Ronnie Scott’s, culminating in a successful UK tour earlier in 2025. Now, with the FUNKOPIA Tour, the Funkestra return to the live stage to celebrate their 30th anniversary in tandem with the release of the milestone album FUNKOPIA, out on 3 October 2025 on RSB Records.
