PETER CAT is a singer and songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland, crafting offbeat and experimental pop that crosses genre boundaries with ease, yet never straying far from a great hook.
His back catalog incorporates a wide range of influences, from angular indie rock, analog synth-pop, and torch-song balladeering; all undergirded by a wry and sardonic bass-baritone croon; like Berlin-era Bowie crossed with Frank Zappa. Peter Cat's debut LP, The Saccharine Underground, was released in 2020 through MoFi Records and distributed through Scottish indie heavyweight Last Night From Glasgow. This was followed by the well-received EP The Magus in 2022, which spawned fan favourite single, 'Melon Dating Simulator!!', a surreal track about cross-species dating in an imagined future dystopia.
Peter Cat's forthcoming second full-length, Starchamber, will be released through Cambridge-based Trapped Animal Records in late 2025.
