About this concert
A breathing space in the Christmas rush, filled with the season’s most beautiful voices, taking you on a journey through prophecy, miracle, motherhood, and the joy of Christmas. Guest conductor Eamonn Dougan (UK) leads Ars Nova Copenhagen in a programme where old carols meet new works – from medieval hymns to brand-new world premieres. Through the concert, the music traces the many facets of the Christmas story, from timeless choral treasures by Palestrina, Victoria and Holst to fresh works by Rhona Clarke, Joanna Marsh and Eoghan Desmond. With two world premieres and Ars Nova’s trademark clarity and warmth, this concert offers a moment of reflection and celebration at the heart of the season. Note! This is the second of two concerts in Trinitatis Church on December 7 and 8. You can find tickets for the December 7 concert at Billetto.dk Doors open half an hour before the concert starts.
