Celebrate the season with the Annual Winter Solstice Concert by longtime Windham Hill recording artist, Barbara Higbie. Joined by her brilliant musical friends; guitarist, Vicki Randle, percussionist, Michaelle Goerlitz, cellist, Mia Pixley, bassist, Kofy Brown and mandolin prodigy, Jasper Manning, Barbara performs selections from the multi-platinum selling Windham Hill Winter Solstice series and her new Chillogy series. It is a warm, joyful and inclusive holiday tradition made new each year. Barbara Higbie, a Grammy nominated, Bammy award winning pianist, singer-songwriter and violinist was the first female instrumentalist signed to Windham Hill label. She has released 20 original albums, worked with Bonnie Raitt, Carlos Santana, Terry Riley and the Kronos Quartet and appears on over 120 albums.

Barbara Higbie Biography

A Grammy-nominated, Bammy award winning​​ composer, pianist singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Barbara Higbie has performed on more than 65 albums, including Carlos Santana’s 2007 release. She has 11 recordings to her credit as well as contributions to 10 compilations that have sold in the millions. Her newest CD entitled, "Resonance," features Higbie’s instrumental compositions with electric cellist, Jamie Sieber; acoustic cellist, Mia Pixley, and percussionist, Michaelle Goerlitz.
