Sam Godfrey

Hailing from Spartanburg, SC, Sam Godfrey is an artist who tells the story of the working man and emphasizes life's simpler aspects in an era saturated by modernism. Sam and his band blend high-energy country classics as well as original tunes, bringing a show that is sure to keep you on the dance floor. His journey into music took off in 2024 when he teamed up with former Marshall Tucker Band guitarist Rusty Milner and began cutting demos. Drawing inspiration from the blue-collar anthems of his South Carolina roots and the steel-guitar-driven cowboy ballads of the westerns he watched with his grandpa, Sam has forged a sound that blends grit, southern tradition, and storytelling. Sam has brought his music to theatres and festivals across the Southeast, including Henderson Auditorium, Whiskey Cowgirl, Preservation Pub, and Mill Town Theatre.
