One of the most exciting rising forces in the UK’s emo revival scene,
Vienna bring Midwest emo tones and raw, heartfelt songwriting straight from the West Midlands, UK. Blending intricate guitar work, punchy rhythms and emotionally charged vocals with flashes of self-aware humour and pop culture references, the four-piece have made a name for themselves as one of the UK’s most compelling up-and-coming DIY emo acts.

Formed by four close friends — Ben Jones, Joe Griffiths, Joe Lewis and Will Collins — Vienna balance sincerity with energy in a way that resonates with fans of bands like; Modern Baseball, Cap’n Jazz, Title Fight and Free Throw. Since their 2022 debut, Vienna have played extensively across the UK, made a handful of festival appearances, supported rising US band Micheal Cera Palin, shared stages and created a community with many other like-minded emo bands, and built themselves a strong following along the way.

Following their debut EP Sleep Fighter II in early 2025, which earned playlist placements and critical praise across the UK emo scene, Vienna have continued to expand their reach. The band have performed at grassroots all-dayers, independent festivals, and even made a main stage appearance at Godiva Festival. Their live shows blend emotion and chaos, with studio-tight performance and whitty humour in equal measure.

With a new 6-track EP recorded and ready for release soon, Vienna are ready to take their sound to the next level. Accompanied by a string of DIY shows, refreshed visuals, and a strong online presence, the band are entering this next chapter in full momentum. Vienna are more than just a scene revival band — they’re part of the new wave pushing UK emo forward.
