Moonshine Mollys play the VIEx! The Vancouver Island Exhibition Association is excited to welcome you to Nanaimo’s 2025 Country Fair! With over 20,000 visitors each year, the VIEx is a celebration of community, culture, and entertainment. Whether you’re a longtime fairgoer or a first-time visitor, there’s something for everyone at this year’s event!
Get ready for the return of some of our most thrilling attractions, including the awe-inspiring Global FMX freestyle motocross show, the fan-favorite President’s Choice SuperDogs, the legendary Yukon Dan Gold Panning experience, and an exciting lineup of Main Stage Entertainment. Plus, new for 2025, we are thrilled to introduce the BC Country Music Association Stage, showcasing incredible homegrown talent and rising stars in Canadian country music!
Our theme, “Proudly Local, Wildly Canadian,” celebrates the hardworking artisans, performers, and businesses that make our region unique. From live music and adrenaline-pumping performances to interactive exhibits and delicious local eats, the VIEx is the perfect place to experience the best of Vancouver Island’s rich culture and community spirit.
The fair wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, the generosity of our sponsors, and the enthusiasm of our visitors. Moonshine Mollys Biography
Moonshine Mollys are a Canadian Country duo known for their captivating harmonies and unique unison vocals that create a cool, distinctive sound. In 2024, they graced the stages of iconic events such as the Calgary Stampede, Cloverdale Rodeo, and Sunfest Country Music Festival, also opening for Manitoba’s Kendra Kay. Their rising star was recognized with a Ray McAuley Emerging Artist nomination in 2023, and most recently the recipients of the Canadian Choice Award for Nanaimo entertainers.
The duo’s TIME EP, released in late 2023, showcases their original songs "By the River’s Edge," "Midnight Moon," and "Time," alongside a soulful tribute to The Judds with “Why Not Me.” Funded by Music BC, Moonshine Mollys continue to win over audiences with their heartfelt storytelling and unforgettable performances. With new music in the works, fans can expect fresh music from this dynamic duo in the spring/summer of 2025.
