Event websiteAbout this concert
It's Ladies Night at The Schooner, with three women-fronted bands.
8:00 ANNIE AND THE BANG BANG
Fronted and founded by fight director, singer-songwriter, and guitarist Annie Enneking, Annie and the Bang Bang are a Minneapolis band. A mood ring of rock and roll, they genre hop from dreamy folkpop to swampy psychedelic grooves to a grunge-meets-classic rock vibe, crafting musical gems that value energy, animal intelligence, poetry, and mischief.
9:15 ELOUR
Emotions erupt in ELOUR's punk-edged Femme Rock, resulting in catharsis and empowerment. ELOUR features the alluring songs, vocals, and stage presence of classically trained Elizabeth Ghandour.
ELOUR (pronounced "allure") is what Elizabeth Ghandour categorizes as Femme Rock. Elizabeth’s direct lyrics, diverse background and classically trained voice, backed by master players, pushes sonic boundaries for a raucous, rebellious, and yet very stylish sound that is at once new and familiar, and terrifically energizing.
10:30 THE CHANGEUPS
Alternative Americana rock band, The Changeups, are based in Minneapolis fronted by vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Alicia Kay. Alicia’s emotional lyrics and twangy heartfelt singing charm any audience and is loved by fans of Neko Case, Lucinda Williams and Lydia Loveless. They play rock, country and pop but also dabble in indie, blues and folk—no songs about baseball...yet.
