Angus is a great entertainer. Talented musician with an amazing voice. Some heartfelt tracks peppered with a few tongue in cheek originals. A very persable guy who doesn't take himself too seriously. We are never disappointed.

Angus Gill Biography

Australian CMA (Golden Guitar) winner Angus Gill stands as a seasoned veteran in the Australian music scene. With a career highlighted by five ARIA chart-topping studio albums, 13 #1 singles, and 11 Top 10 hits on Australian Country Radio, Gill has firmly established himself as a powerhouse in the industry. His other accolades include an ARIA Awards nomination, and he holds the distinction of being the youngest Australian male solo artist to perform on the prestigious Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville, Tennessee.

Gill’s prolific career features collaborations and/or song cuts with both US and Australian music royalty, including Steve Earle, Jim Lauderdale, Buddy Miller, Charles Esten, Eric McCusker (Mondo Rock), Diesel, Anne Kirkpatrick, Melinda Schneider, Graeme Connors, Beccy Cole, Adam Harvey, James Blundell, Pixie Jenkins, Allan Caswell, Mark Seymour (Hunters & Collectors), Billy Miller (The Ferrets), Bill Chambers, TC Cassidy and more.

2023 was a banner year for Gill, marked by the release of his fifth studio album, Departure & Arrival (as Angus Gill & Seasons of Change), which soared to #1 on both the ARIA and AIR Albums Charts. Building on this momentum, Gill has recently unveiled his first compilation album, The Songwriter…So Far. This 20-track collection features his most requested, best-loved, and thought-provoking songs that have cemented his status as a leading young Australian songwriter. The album also includes two brand new recordings: a re-vamped version of his staple song Roadworks and the poignant new track Can You Imagine, a preview of his upcoming collaboration with Mondo Rock’s Eric McCusker.

“I’m incredibly excited for this release. The last few years have been wild for me, juggling songwriting and production work with touring my new album projects. Winning my first Golden Guitar Award was a huge highlight and a full circle moment,” says Gill.

US veteran music journalist Lee Zimmerman praises Gill's compilation, stating, “Gill consistently hits the mark by evoking a sense of poignancy and passion. He’s both earnest and evocative, and equally adept at navigating emotions that vary from the tender to the tenacious. With a generous 20 tracks, The Songwriter…So Far offers an excellent compendium of Gill’s efforts - so far…it’s so good!”

Angus Gill’s songwriting and performance skills have also garnered high praise from industry legends:

“Angus is one of the most creative and talented people I’ve ever worked with. It was an honor to get to write with and sing with him. I hope we can do much more down the road!” – Jim Lauderdale, Multiple Grammy-Winning Singer/Songwriter & Americana Icon.

“Angus Gill is easily one of the most talented and hardest working young men in the music business – anywhere!” – Jerry Salley, Grammy-Winning Singer/Songwriter & Producer.

“Angus Gill is a brilliant young singer/songwriter and if you want to be thoroughly entertained, you’ll go and see his show.” – Ray Hadley OAM, Legendary Radio Broadcaster 2GB.

“A young songsmith at the peak of his formidable powers.” – Country Update Magazine

“Angus Gill is a breath of fresh air and a future bronze statue in Australian Country Music.” – John Williamson OAM, Australian Country Music Legend.
