The Originators Biography
The Originators were founded in 2012 by drummer/bandleader Chris van der Meer. They play "Northern Soul" and are proud to be the first and only Northern Soul band from the Netherlands.
Their tours initially began in the underground scene in Germany and France, but also in clubs, at festivals, and typical Northern Soul parties.
Their set includes Northern Soul classics and original material within the Northern Soul idiom.
With nine musicians, including a three-piece horn section and two backing vocalists, The Originators bring you the best of 10 years of "hip-shaking, earth-shaking, breathtaking, groove-making" rhythm and soul!
