Spellbinding show! Lisa and Gerry’s performance was utterly transcendent. Both brilliant musicians ,utilising a range of instruments, often at the same time. Lisa’s voice is uniquely beautiful and Gerry was seemingly possessed by the incredible sonic textures he was conjuring, using fiddle, autoharp, percussion and electronics. Theirs is a unique and very modern take on folk music that completely defies description. We felt witness to two artists that are capable of creating a conduit to a reality much higher and more mysterious than the everyday . Truly electrifying, but also a very warm and generous performance. This duo are absolutely on top of their game . Deirdre and Ella McGrory’s support slot was great too. Heartfelt and impassioned . Definitely a name to watch , they are both wonderful singers and musicians and we were glad to have heard them. It’s rare to be so moved by a concert, but this is one that we felt privileged to have witnessed. If you ever get a chance to see Lisa Knapp and Gerry Diver in concert you’ll be in for a rare treat for sure! Unforgettable! Thank You!
