Drawing inspiration from wandered trails and the quiet beauty of everyday moments, Whiskey Jack finds poignant metaphors in plain sight. His songwriting is rich in storytelling and introspection, resonating deeply with listeners seeking authenticity and emotional depth.
The name Whiskey Jack pays homage to the grey jay, a clever and curious bird found in the boreal forests and subalpine zones of North America. Known for its presence in remote wilderness and its folklore associations, the bird reflects the artist’s connection to nature and his instinct for noticing the poetic in the everyday.
In a landmark year, Whiskey Jack released his second EP Extra Luck, was handpicked by Angus & Julia Stone for the Wild Turkey House of Music mentorship programme in Sydney, and took home the 2025 WAM Country Song of the Year for his single Wild Card.
