Desert Friends

Desert Friends is a Hi Dez, psych collaboration between Antrom Alexander and Lucas Penner with Cody Rhodes on drums.

One-year-old and your Desert Friends are making strides: debut album "Lost Palms Oasis" (October 2024); feature on The Joshua Tree House's New Moon Playlist (Dec 2024), a mini tour of Southern California including two packed shows at Más O Menos, a pre-Coachella feature at Palm Springs' Royal Sun Hotel and a debut at Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel (Spring 2025) as well as a live performance video of their full album in Joshua Tree's Boulder Garden Sanctuary.

This August, Desert Friends will make their Los Angeles' debut at Goldiggers, Malibu Music and Townhouse In Venice.

Desert Friends' sound features flavours of Khruangbin, Hermanos Guitiérrez and Arc De Soliel; it mixes surf, middle-eastern and spaghetti western elements; and brings together Lucas and Antrom's shared love of the guitar through complimentary lenses.
