Sigyn Biography
Heavy riffs and powerful melodies
SIGYN is a melodic death metal band that strikes with heavy riffs, fast tempos, and catchy melodies—sometimes even with symphonic elements. Originally founded in 2008, the Helsinki-based SIGYN draws influence from the early 2000s Finnish metal scene, and released their debut album Dehumanized in November 2023.
The album, which contains ten tracks, was immediately recognized in Kaaoszine's "Top 10 Albums of the Year" list. The single The Real Me, released the following spring, made it onto the Radio Helsinki Korkeajännite program’s playlist during its release week, and was later played on Radio Rock as well.
SIGYN, hailed as the new torchbearer of Finnish melodeath, is currently recording their second album.
