Typh Barrow Biography
Often mistaken for a “Monsieur” on the phone as a child because of her unusually deep voice, Typh Barrow turned what once seemed like a peculiarity into her greatest strength. Raw, soulful and unmistakable, her voice has become her signature.
Typh is a Belgian singer, songwriter, composer and pianist who fuses soul and pop with rare emotional intensity.
She first came to prominence in 2013 on YouTube, where her stripped-back piano covers of 90s hip-hop classics amassed millions of views. Her rendition of Gangsta’s Paradise even earned praise from Coolio.
Her albums RAW and ALOHA both debuted at #1 in Belgium, went gold and double gold, and powered a streak of entirely sold-out tours — culminating in two headline nights at Forest National. She also shared her voice and vision with a wider audience as a multi-season coach on The Voice TV Show.
After two years away, Typh makes her long-awaited return with Close to Me (out September 19, 2025), a captivating pop-soul track where passion and sensuality meet irresistible groove.
