Philipp Wisser

Philipp Wisser studied jazz guitar, composition and sound engineering at the Folkwang University of the Arts, at the Institute for Music and Media in Düsseldorf and at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. As a guitarist, composer and band leader, he released his debut album “Just a Glimpse” in 2021 on JazzSick Records. The album, which was praised by many critics, makes the first mark on the national scene and represents a playful and dynamic band.

Philipp is a very versatile artist who has already written and arranged music for large ensembles such as big band and symphonic orchestra. His latest album "Frontmirror" features an adventurous trio that spans a wide range between earthy blues sounds and modern effect experiments.
