Mari Mizuno

Mari Mizuno is the vocalist of the Japanese city pop unit paris match. Raised in a musical family, she studied piano and singing from the age of three, performed as a vocalist and guitarist in high school, and later worked as a radio DJ in her hometown Nagoya—all while never letting go of her dream to pursue music. When Yosuke Sugiyama heard her demo, he knew he had found the voice he was looking for. paris match debuted in 2000. Her silky, cool vocals are at the heart of paris match's signature sound, making her one of the most distinctive and expressive female voices in contemporary Japanese pop scene.
