Ari Joshua

October 30th - Seattle Jazz Fellowship presents The Ari Joshua Quartet. One of the Pacific Northwest’s most distinctive and adventurous jazz guitarists, Ari Joshua has built a reputation for fearless improvisation, lyrical touch, and boundless creativity. A graduate of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City, Ari studied under legends such as Reggie Workman, Chico Hamilton, Billy Harper, Junior Mance, Cecil McBee, and Jane Ira Bloom. His education laid the foundation for a career dedicated to both honoring and expanding the jazz tradition. Over the years, Ari has released more than 200 original works and collaborated with acclaimed artists including John Medeski, Billy Martin, Delvon Lamarr, Skerik, Robert Glasper, Jason Fraticelli, and KJ Sawka. His music bridges the worlds of jazz, rock, and improvisation, with a singular voice that reflects deep roots in the tradition alongside a restless spirit for discovery. The Ari Joshua Quartet invites audiences into an evening of inspired interplay, modern expression, and boundary-pushing soundscapes that embody the heart of the Fellowship.
