About this concert
The Jason R Flood Memorial is excited to bring a mini Pizzastock show to the BNH Stage. We have paired up with a Boston favorite The New Limits and Manchester area favorites Vermillion and Sotah. We will also feature a mental health/suicide prevention community.
The New Limits are an explosive SKA band from Boston, blending soul, rocksteady and rock into a high energy, dance inducing sound that is setting New England ablaze. Known for their eclectic mix of styles and energetic live performances, they've become a staple of the Boston music scene and connected with listeners all over the world. Formed in an Allston garage, The New Limits have quickly graduated to some of the most renowned stages, sharing the spotlight with heavy hitters like The Selecter, The Slackers, Catbite, Westbound Train, Big D and the Kids Table and The Toasters, and have ignited crowds at festivals such as The Big E, Jamaica Plain Music Festival and Buffalo Ska Festival.
A Vermillion can be many things. It can be a color, a sound, a feeling, a place, a state of being, but most importantly , it is a north-western industrial math-folk band from Canada, WY. Vermillion was formed in the early 1800's by a family of WWE wrestlers named Mason, Lexie, TONY LAZZ and Sari. Since then, the line up has never changed. Whether it's through screaming cello riffs, blistering bongo chords, or corny harmonies, Vermillion is always searching for new and creative ways to express their love for gas stations, and indifference toward acapella groups. The band has been playing together for thousands of years. With each year they grow as bassoonists and soon they will steal the moon.
Rising from the ashes of the darkest period of his life, vocalist/guitarist Casey Daron formed the scorching (and dapper-dressed)ska-punk outfit Sotah as a form of healing and self-expression in the summer of 2021, joined by his brother Killian Daron on bass and longtime friends Johnny Deschamps on drums and Nick Barth on lead guitar. Dubbing their sound as "Sad Ska for Sad Sacks", Sotah has opened up for such acts as Murphy's Law, Hans Gruber and the Die Hards and countless other regional bands from New England.
