Chris Welch Biography
Singer-songwriter Chris Welch first hit the stage in 2010 with the Chris Welch Band, opening for artists including Stoney LaRue, Reckless Kelly, and Matt Stell. After the band’s split in 2014, Chris embraced a solo acoustic path, shaped by the storytelling and style of Cody Canada, Robert Earl Keen, and Todd Snider.
As a solo performer, he has shared the stage with Jason Eady, Silverada, and Cody Canada, touring extensively throughout the Midwest and bringing his music to breweries, festivals, and intimate listening rooms. His song “Heart Like Hers” earned him a finalist spot in the 2018 Larry Joe Taylor Songwriters Competition.
Today, Chris is focused on creating and performing original music, delivering heartfelt songs that reflect his influences while carving out a sound uniquely his own.
