Robert Gee is a native son of Philadelphia has been singing professionally since his teens. Roberts broad talents and classically trained tenor have taken him from local Jazz clubs to operas on the grand stage of the Academy Of Music and as far away as The Grand Opera House in Armenia! Where he starred in Jesus Christ Super Star and numerous other regional and touring theater productions such as The Wiz, Pippin, Ain't Misbehavin, Dreamgirls, Sy Coleman’s The Life, The Five Heartbeats LIVE directed by Harry Lennix and Blues In The Night just to name a few!
Living Legend Patti LaBelle is credited with discovering the teen who like her, would go on to become and Amateur Night Winner at the world famous Apollo Theater!
A move to Los Angeles not only placed Robert in the center of the action but finds him working with some R&B's finest like Vesta Williams, Bee Bee Winans, Teena Maria, The Emotions, Tevin Campbell, Kashif, Atlantic Starr, Loose Ends Feat. Jane Eugene! One of Gee’s musical inspirations Luther Vandross personally cast him in his video for the song The Power Of Love! Robert Townsend, sought after Gee and directed him in the roll of Bossman in the movie "The Little Richard Story" for NBC! Whether a touring Artist center stage or BGV support artist, Robert is always a featured standout. That's why critics from the LA Times to the Philadelphia Tribune and many other publications have written about his show stopping performances. Chaka Khan even tweeted “what a soulfully, unique voice”!
Robert Gee is an award winning, independent Artist. A singer, songwriter and producer with 2 "critically acclaimed" CD releases to his credit which have garnered him 2 Black Music Association Awards as Best Male Vocal R&B Performer 2010 and 2018 respectively. His latest single "Whatcha Wanna Do" was released in 2023 on the UK's premier Soul imprint Expansion Records. Which he co-wrote while living in London for 2 years.
