Who Ate All The Crayons Biography
Who Ate All The Crayons are a folk rock band based in Berkshire. The band draw influences from Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Howl and the Hum, and Mumford and Sons. Band members Harry Stradling (Lead Vocals), Lee Smith (Percussion), George Jackson (Lead Guitar) and Luke Newman (Bass Guitar) incorporate infectious melodies wringing with emotion, ear-worm hooks, and anthemic vocals. Their contemporary ballads take relatively conventional themes that build to explosive crescendos, in a way that is exciting and unique.
Lead Singer Harry began writing with Percussionist Lee after they met at The University of Plymouth. They cultivated the bands spontaneous style by writing through jam sessions in local studios, creating songs such as 5 Seconds and Alive. As university came to a close Harry returned to his hometown of Newbury, where he would meet lead guitarist George Jackson and Bassist Luke Newman through Newbury's live mic circuit. He noticed their passion for live performance and music so began jam sessions, inviting the full ensemble. This culminated into how the band is to date, performing as a 4 piece in and around southern England.
