unpolished*

unpolished* is an all-girl rock band from Los Angeles, CA. The band formed when vocalist Mary Bugbee and guitarist Celinda Chang met by fate at a show, quickly becoming friends and bonding over a shared love and passion for music. When the opportunity to perform at a local show presented itself, they recruited drummer Jasmine Day on drums and wrote some songs, and thus unpolished* made their debut in April 2024, later adding “Santos” Stephanie DeSantos on bass. Sitting somewhere in between alternative rock, punk rock, pop punk, heavy/hard rock, and grunge, unpolished* is drawing attention and turning heads in the rock scene with energetic live performances and passionate songwriting. Their debut EP release “I PLEAD INSANITY” (March 2025) got the world wondering “who the f*ck is unpolished*?” while recent tour stops (including Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado) have people finding out. Their end goal? World domination.
