Shared Walls

Shared Walls is an Austin-Based Band led by ocean man Floridian Hersh Cohen founded in early 2020. Their Energetic Live performances pair Cohen’s Indie Rock Songwriting Voice with high intensity Surf-Tinged Garage and Punk Rock Stylings, topped off with Searing Electric Guitars with Catchy singalong melodies. After a prolific period of collaborations and releases at the onset of the Band, Shared Walls has spent the past few years hitting the pavement playing shows around Austin as well as undertaking a handful of regional tours throughout the southeast. Since returning from Tour in late 2023, Shared Walls has been hard at work recording and are ready to release their first studio EP What? A Houdini? This EP continues to ignore the suggestion of limiting one’s creativity to one genre by jumping between surf-punk rippers and Gorillaz inspired dub beat tracks.
Hersh’s favorite track Rhinestone Dreams features a lost voice memo recording of late singer Stephanie Angel. This R&B style track preaches the EP’s overarching message of saying what’s on your mind and putting your best positive self out in the world because you never know if you have tomorrow. The band will be making the best of tomorrow by touring the central US from 9/6 to 9/30 to celebrate and promote the EP. On 9/6, the band will be performing at Austin’s Vinyl Beauty Bar to kick off the tour. Remember: May you be peaceful and at ease.
