Ezra Charles Biography
Houston’s most honored piano player and band leader is now performing all over Texas with members of his original band. Winner of the Houston Press Reader’s Poll for Best Keyboards/Piano six different years between 1992 and 2013, and recipient of a Lifetme Achievement Award from the San Antonio Blues Society, Ezra’s band represented the Houston Blues Society at the International Blues Competion in Memphis in 2011, reaching the Semi- Finals. Touring for thirty years all over the Southwest and playing in Italy five Jmes at Umbria Jazz , Europe’s largest music festival, has honed his act into one that delivers everything that makes Texas music exciting.
