James Haro In Storage Biography

James Haro In Storage is a music project that began underground in a literal storage room. Haro crafts emotive lyrics and creates powerful, exhilarating music. Haro has Mexican roots and was born and raised in Los Angeles now based in Philly.

Haro's debut single "Verses" was released on 9/27/2023. His coach and mentor, Martha Eies (aka Red 40, née Martha Stuckey), wrote about the song, "It’s hard to believe that “Verses” is only one song and only 4 minutes at that. James is the Peter Pan to my Wendy, offering a hand and a wink right before he sends me flying through memory and dimension. The song perfectly embroiders the nostalgia of warm 80’s rock licks, the delicious sincerity of ‘90s pop rock and an emotional urgency bred of the times we now live in. James delivers pithy and undeniable lyrics on the catchiest of melodies embedded in luscious, thick harmonies you can imagine sinking your teeth into. And then the vocals. And then the vocals! Haro hops octaves easily, all while growling, howling, soaring through his anthemic lines. James’ unwavering love for and celebration of the collective is reflected in group singing moments at the end which already has me thinking of the epic singalong catharsis experienced by the audience when this song undoubtedly shoots off like a rocket in live shows. Future dreaming aside, as soon as my first listen played through it was all I could do to rush back to my phone so I could slam the back button to hear it all over again."
