Bordertown Catz Biography
Bordertown Catz was formed when Guitarist Victor Guay and Drummer / Vocalist Stuart Asselstine teamed up with Bassist Ric Lauzon. The addition of Rhythm Guitarist and Vocalist Jeff Landriault has given the band a fuller tone and rich harmonies and he is a gifted singer/songwriter with strong folk influences.
The band hails from Cornwall Ontario and offers a great depth of musical talent as well as a vast song selection covering the 70's, 80’s and 90's and they’ve added original material into their live performances. Their first single “Highway Calling” is available on all music platforms and showcases the bands country / rock feel.
We have a strong focus on covering Canadian artists like The Tragically Hip, Bryan Adams, 54-40, April Wine and Neil Young and Blue Rodeo. We also offer up mainstream hits that span many genres and generations including songs from various rock icons like The Rolling Stones, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp and much more.
Bordertown Catz members are:
Stu Asselstine – Drums/Percussion – Vocals
Victor Guay – Lead/Rhythm Guitar – Vocals
Jeff Landriault - Rhythm Guitar - Vocals - Harmonica
Ric Lauzon – Bass – Vocals - Technician
Stu, Jeff and Vic share lead vocal duties and provide a fantastic harmony capability giving the band a rich full sound.
We have performed at charitable functions in the eastern Ontario region most notably the Relay for Life, Canadian Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and we are also a crowd favorite in Pubs and Bars.
