About this concert
While the King Parrot boys are currently terrorising their way around North America, much closer to home the band are excited to announce a swag of new tour dates as Part 2 of their Australian Album launch tour for the new record "A Young Person's Guide to King Parrot". Bringing in all of the spots that were missed on Part 1, King Parrot remains 100% committed to dismantling Australia town by town, city by city and with a smorgasbord of new tracks on offer, this new live show is pushing the band into unchartered territory. "A Young Person's Guide to King Parrot" is the bands strongest release to date and has seen the band going from strength to strength all over the globe. So far this year, the boys have been to Europe for 36 shows touring with Pantera, Power Trip and Master, they've headlined their own successful album launch tour on the East Coast of Australia and are now smashing through a 43 date run of North America after being invited by Pantera to return to the US as support. It's easy to see why King Parrot continues to forge a reputation as one of Australia's hardest working and entertaining acts. This part 2 of their Album Launch Tour further solidifies the band as one Australia's top extreme music exports, so be sure to get along and witness the ferociously unhinged live spectacle of King Parrot!
"We're beyond excited to get back out to the homeland and play all the spots we missed on the first leg, so Queensland, WA and SA (And Ballarat and Albury ;)), brace yourselves as we prepare to bring the KP grind carnage your way. New songs, new drummer, and renewed energy and intensity off the back of a 45 show North American tour! The reception we've had in the US and Canada from the new record has been beyond our expectations and to have the opportunity to tour alongside metal giants like Pantera and Amon Amarth has been incredible.
We're comin' for ya Australia so get your tickets and get on board!"

King Parrot Biography
The first new music in 5 years from extreme metal act King Parrot is upon us. A hostile and abrasive slab of sensory destroying anthems, “A Young Person’s Guide To” features 10 thoroughly crafted blasts through the psyche of the crazed Aussie quintet.
Applying a similar approach to the writing process of their previous records; organic and old-school, King Parrot adopted a new approach to production in the studio. Carefully crafting their sound and leaving no stone-unturned when it came to delivering the final product, this is the most complete, aggressive and urgent King Parrot have ever sounded.
Pulling the new record together was a meticulously creative endeavour steered by guitarist Andrew Livingstone-Squires and vocalist Matt Young who comments “Throughout the entire mixing process we ensured that we got every element where we wanted it. Guitar and bass tones were experimented with until we found exactly what we wanted, the drum sounds were just right, and the performance was executed solidly, its easily the best studio effort we’ve ever made. Vocally, I rehearsed a lot so that when I recorded it was a breeze.”
it’s the first full length album since 2017’s “Ugly Produce” and the first new music since the “Holed Up in The Lair” EP in 2020. The new video for “Fuck You And The Horse Your Rode In On” was produced by longtime video collaborator Dan Farmer of Farmwalker Films. Dan has been responsible for the majority of the band’s revered music videos including the Australian Music Video finalist “Shit on The Liver”.
