Joselyn & Don Biography
Montana-raised, Los Angeles-based Americana duo Joselyn & Don blend Laurel Canyon folk, soul, alt-country, and classic Americana with a cinematic edge. Their music takes us on a soulful road trip through memory, identity, and the American landscape.
Written with a lens shaped by both artists’ small-town Montana roots and their creative lives in Los Angeles, Joselyn & Don’s upcoming third album, “Lost & Found Highway” moves through themes of rediscovery, change and loss. Produced by Graham Richman (Lizzie No, Bartees Strange) and mixed by GRAMMY-nominated Kevin Smith (Ben Harper) the songs are anchored by longtime Jackson Browne band members Mauricio “Fritz” Lewak (drums), Bob Glaub (bass) and Greg Leisz (pedal steel) as well as Tom Freund on upright bass. Featured guests include Cristina Vane, Chris Pierce and Abby Posner.
Joselyn’s vocals are strong and clear and the music is toe-tapping and rich.”
- Melissa Clarke, Americana Highways
“Girl from the Mountain" channels the carefree heat of a summer road trip, wrapped in an irresistible alt-country groove.”
- Cowgirl Magazine
“Their music stretches the boundaries of what is now part of the Americana genre. Joselyn’s vocal is stellar and will remind you instantly of Carole King with dashes of Joni Mitchell and Linda Ronstadt, and the harmonies are razor sharp.”
