Fiddlin' Ray Bruckman Biography
Fiddler, mandolinist, and singer Fiddlin’ Ray Bruckman is from Stahlstown, PA. He leads Fiddlin' Ray and the Turtle Snatchers based in Western Pennsylvania, presenting a combination of bluegrass, folk, old-time and western swing music. He also performs with Folk 'Em All Trio and countless other musicians across the country. His popular solo album "Foundations" was released in 2019.
Since starting at age 11 in 2005 Ray has played with 18 different regional bands including Brush Creek, Grand Ole’ Ditch and the Jakob’s Ferry Stragglers. He has been awarded Pennsylvania state fiddle, mandolin and guitar champion and has studied with fiddle greats such as Don Shean, Darol Anger, Buddy Spicher, Bobby Hicks, Byron Berline, Kenny Baker, Bruce Molsky, Brittany Haas and many more.
Along with his active touring schedule, Ray is also a professional music instructor teaching fiddle/violin, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and cello. You can learn more about Fiddlin' Ray on his website fiddlinray.com.
