Kody Shade Harrell

Inspired by the traditional juke joint spirit, Kody Shade Harrell’s music merges raw, rural blues with the improvisational energy of psychedelia and the infectious pulse of modern and classic beats. His goal is to revive the danceable, communal energy of blues music for contemporary audiences, showing that while deeply rooted in tradition, this music remains as captivating and timeless as ever. Bryan Shaw, born and raised in the Jackson, Mississippi area, has drummed professionally for most of his life in a variety of styles. Throughout his career, he has backed many blues artists domestically and internationally including Lightnin' Malcolm, Ghalia Volt, and The Harrell Brothers, and since 2018 has toured with Watermelon Slim. Bryan currently lives in New Orleans, Louisiana.
