About this concert
City Winery Nashville Presents Sugarcane Jane w/ Special Guest Dee White Live on Saturday, November 1st at 7:00pm.
Sugarcane Jane is the Gulf Coast's Americana sweethearts - husband and wife duo Anthony Crawford and Savana Lee - bringing rich harmonies, Southern charm, and front-porch authenticity to every stage they grace. Based in Loxley, Alabama, the pair blend roots rock, folk, and classic country into a sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly original. Anthony Crawford's musical pedigree is nothing short of legendary. With a career spanning decades, he has earned six gold albums, a platinum, and a double platinum for his contributions as a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter. His fingerprints can be found on iconic records like Vince Gill's *When I Call Your Name* and projects by music giants including Neil Young, Steve Winwood, Dwight Yoakam, Rosanne Cash, and Lorrie Morgan. Together with Savana Lee - whose soulful voice and grounded stage presence perfectly complement Crawford's seasoned artistry - Sugarcane Jane creates an unforgettable live experience. Whether performing on intimate stages or festival fields, their music is a heartfelt celebration of life, family, and the power of a great song. In 2024, Sugarcane Jane released *On a Mission*, a critically praised album available on limited edition 180g turquoise vinyl, showcasing the duo's continued evolution while staying true to their roots.
Dee White is a preservationist. On his new album Heart Talkin’, produced by Grammy-winning Nashville visionary Tony Brown, the 26-year-old singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Slapout, Alabama, is committed to celebrating the people and things that came before. Over 10 tracks, he sings about mischievous old men at a church potluck dinner, laments the way his lover treats him like a discarded paper cup, and ruminates on the lesser qualities of humanity that are passed on through generations. Heart Talkin’ is the follow-up to Dee’s 2020 debut album Southern Gentleman, which paired him with producers Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys and David “Ferg” Ferguson. After beginning his career as a teenager under the encouragement of legendary record man Harold Shedd, Dee has evolved into his own man and artist, touring the world with icons like Alan Jackson and Alison Krauss and with fellow rising stars like Jackson Dean. He represents both the past and the future of country and Americana music.
