Risky Business Biography
Risky Business
Here to spread joy and happiness
Risky Business is a seven-piece band from Skerries, County Dublin.
They’re a big band with a big sound and a big heart.
Their music covers the spectrum from power pop, to funk and ska, with occasional shades of country and jazz.
Their debut album ‘Unfinished Business’ was critically acclaimed, receiving an eight out of ten review in Hot Press Magazine.
But live on stage is where they really come alive, creating a deep and lasting bond of energy between the band and the audience, driven by the unique electricity generated within the band itself.
Risky Business are a regular feature at Electric Picnic and have hosted their own ‘Who Let The Dads Out’ stage on a number of occasions.
This year 2024 on July 21st Risky Business will perform at Forest Fest and to celebrate we are releasing Let’s Go our new single
They have also played venues in the UK, Portugal, Spain, and Canada.
The band were the first to sell out the newly opened Lark Concert Hall in Balbriggan, and tickets for their October 2024 show at the same venue are selling fast.
A popular feature of the band’s live shows is the guests who occasionally join them on stage. Among their better-known collaborators are Jim Lockhart and Barry Devlin of Horslips, Nick Kelly of Fat Lady Sings fame, the renowned trad fiddle player, Carol Keane, and the Fingal based Sea Sharps choir.
The result is a joyful, memorable show that has charmed audiences throughout the country and beyond.
