Deze fantastische, aardige en ambitieuze Nederlandse zangeres heeft inmiddels door haar vele radio en TV shows een flinke bekendheid opgebouwd. Melanie bespeelde al de podia van de Melkweg, Tivoli en Paradiso en mag het nu met haar voltallige band ook gaan doen op het ‘Pop-Up’ podium van de Reeshof in een Coolvibes Seated Concert. Daar zijn wij uiteraard heel erg trots op dat dit veelbelovende talent bij ons op komt treden.
Melanie Ryan is een singer-songwriter en schrijft songs die je rechtstreeks in je hart raken. Haar favoriete thema’s zijn om over te schrijven zijn haar “roots” (waar ze vandaan komt), haar reis (waar ze naar toe wil) en de liefde. De muziek van Melanie Ryan is een samensmelting van een aantal verschillende muziekstromingen. “Braided Style Music” zoals Melanie Ryan het zelf noemt is een mix van Pop, Americana, en Folk muziek, verwoord op de eerlijke Nashville-style storytelling manier.

Bij dit Heyhoef-Coolvibes Seated Concert zal Melanie Ryan met haar complete Mel’s Angels band optreden; een 5 koppige formatie bestaande uit twee gitaristen (lapsteel guitar, mandoline etc.), een bassist, een toetsenist en een drummer.

Melanie Ryan Biography
A dream chaser driven by positivity; that’s the best way to describe this Dutch country girl. Hailing from The Netherlands, singer-songwriter Melanie Ryan is on a mission to make Country cool again! Last year, Melanie had the opportunity to show her love for Country music, opening for American Country star “Dasha” in a sold-out Melkweg Amsterdam, and also impressed new audiences with her catchy Country-pop songs during the Popronde. With her latest duet “Eye of the Storm”, she captured the attention of the largest Dutch radiostations, performing live during the Edwin Evers Radio 538 afternoon show, receiving support from Mattie & Marieke (Qmusic), Daniël Dekker (NPO Radio 5) and Lisanne Bronkhorst (Radio Veronica), while also being named ‘Artist of the Week’ on Radio M Utrecht.
Melanie competed in several TV shows, such as Giel's Talentenjacht by Dutch radio host Giel Beelen (2016), and SBS6’s We Want More (2020), including singing a duet with jury member Davina Michelle. In 2023 she participated in the first ever Regional Song Contest, representing Utrecht, and she even got to sing an original song during the Debuut in een Minuut by 3FM Serious Request.
With a new era of music in her pocket and a guitar strapped on her back, this singer-songwriter is ready to take the world by storm with her honest and positive Country-pop songs, continuing her quest to make Country cool again!
