I had not seen the Alan Parsons Project in concert in many years. The band played many of my favorites, and I enjoyed hearing them. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating, and it was extremely cold on the night of the concert. The venue was not protected from the wind, and was detrimental to the show. The fog needed for the laser show blew away much of the time, and the suspended lights and speakers swayed the entire time. For the price I paid, I was disappointed in the venue. There needs to be a greater slope in the seating area. I was in row "i" and could barely see the stage over/between the heads of the people in front of me. I was not expecting to be seated on cheap plastic folding chairs, either. What a let-down.

The Alan Parsons Project Biography

The Alan Parsons Project is a British rock group, founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson. The group is based on a number of regular group members such as Stuart Elliot and Ian Bairnson, complemented with varying lead vocals such as Colin Blunstone, Chris Rainbow and Gary Brooker (Procol Harum). But in spite of the changing composition the band consistently plays high quality symphonic rock. The group is well known for its concept albums that cover themes such as Edgar Allan Poe, Gaudi or Freud.

Alan Parsons has an extensive production background, working on, among many other projects, Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album as engineer. He was also on the rooftop with the Beatles for the Apple rooftop sessions.

Eric Woolfson wrote most of the lyrics and Alan Parsons the music. They made so-called 'concept albums'. The NBA's Chicago Bulls used the beginning of the Parson's track "Sirius" as their opening lineup music during the Michael Jordan years, it is no longer in use by the NBA Chicago Bulls.

Alan Parsons is still performing live shows, touring all over the world, but without Eric Woolfson.

Alan Parsons produced both Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd and Abbey Road by the Beatles before going out on his own. He was the only singer to win a Grammy for best vocals, and didn't sing a single song on I Robot.
