Apotropaico

Hailing from the Spanish island of Ibiza, Apotropaico ignite a fiery infusion of thrash and heavy metal, driven by relentless riffs, chugging basslines, ferocious drums, and fierce powerhouse vocals. Since their formation in 2015, the band has undergone several lineup changes and now comprises frontman Pablo Kiaro, bassist Teo Mochen, guitarist Ivan Tamarit, and drummer Manolo Guerra. Following their third studio album "Reborning" in 2023, Apotropaico has soared from strength to strength, weaving anthemic metal tracks that stay true to their roots while also incorporating modern elements. Their music closely reflects their name's Greek origin, "apotropaios," meaning "to ward off evil”; with intense, aggressive, and unrelenting tracks that also carry a message of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. Apotropaico is quickly gaining a reputation for their high-energy live performances and powerful sound, putting their own stamp on the metal scene while also drawing inspiration from classic thrash and heavy metal bands such as Heathen, Metallica, and Megadeth. As one of the most promising bands in the Spanish metal scene and beyond, Apotropaico is poised to make a name for themselves with their infectious energy, unwavering commitment to their craft, and dynamic live shows.
