Figgy Baby Biography
Figgy Baby is an internationally touring, non-binary Mexican rapper. Their music blends traditional rap lyricism with modern production and live instrumentation. Ranging from somber and introspective to high-energy and cocky, Figgy creates a unique and welcoming sound that reflects their own diverse and full spectrum experiences
"Blood from a Stone,” Figgy's first studio album, is a concept project exploring the perils of boyhood and the pressures of manhood. Figgy’s 2022 release, “Spice Boi” is a fun and cocky celebration of queer bangers for non-binary baddies.
As a live performer, Figgy creates a welcoming, high energy show with vulnerable storytelling and witty theatrics. Their noteworthy performances include a supporting act for Carla Morrison at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, a headlining show at the historic queer venue, SchwuZ in Berlin, Germany and a performance at the Foro Cultural Hilvana in Mexico City.
Figgy’s notable collabs include a co-drop with Chicago duo, Mother Nature and a feature verse with Los Angeles staple, Irene Diaz. Their work is featured on NPR Tiny Desk, BBC, BET, LA Times, Jubilee and MITÚ.
