Smokin' Meerkats Biography
5-piece band. featuring former members of the deVillebilles, Rough Country, The Big Dirty, and Hank Kimball and the County Agents. Playing Roadhouse country music (Honky-tonk, Rockabilly, Americana, Bluegrass, Hillbilly, Outlaw & Classic country. Original songs & covering the country greats: Cash, Waylon, Elvis, Coe, Merle, etc. And the newer country traditionalists: Chris Stapleton, Dwight Yoakam, Junior Brown, Dale Watson, etc. Bluegrass greats: Del McCoury, Flatt & Scruggs, Soggy Bottom Boys, etc. Plus, some hot rockabilly: BR-549, Stray Cats, Eric Heatherly, Billy Lee Riley, etc. Also: country & surf instrumentals & a few well known nuggets tossed in. No top 40 country cover band here playing boy band & hip-hop tunes with a fiddle added. This is the real deal.
