Horse Jumper of Love

Dimitri Giannopoulos is the primary songwriter and frontman for the Boston-based band Horse Jumper of Love. Thriving on patient and uncompromising songs, evocative lyrics, and arrangements that suddenly turn from delicate to blistering, their music is full of intensity. Lance Bangs is a Portland-based filmmaker and music video director. Bangs has directed music videos for bands like Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Pavement, R.E.M, and countless others. He has also been heavily involved in the filming and production of MTV's Jackass television series and its subsequent movies. Together, alongside the help of Bangs' film and video production company, Field Recordings, they present Third Floor Window, a short film narrowing in on Portland and expanding on the songs of Horse Jumper of Love's latest full-length release, Disaster Trick. The screening will also be accompanied by a solo performance from Giannopoulos as well a conversation with Lance Bangs.
