Jammes Luckett & Poperratic Biography
Songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and film/TV composer Jammes Luckett frequently defies categorization. Raised on a diverse musical palette, she began writing and recording at a young age (age 8). Her main project, Poperratic, blends Alternative Rock, Power Pop, and more into a critically acclaimed soundscape.
Luckett's love for experimentation stems from her wide-ranging musical influences, from The Beatles and Motown to orchestral, punk, new wave, and electronica. Originally known as Alien Tempo Experiment 13 (ATE 13), Poperratic's music has been praised for its genre-bending creativity and powerful songwriting, described as "alternative, rock, and post-punk."
Releases like "Live! From the Roller Derby!" (1998) and "Garagio" (2018) showcase her unique sound. Critics like Rebecca Cullen of Stereo Stickman highlighted "Garagio's" intricate details, catchy hooks, and ability to "knock down the walls of genre."
Luckett is also an accomplished composer, creating critically acclaimed soundtracks for films and TV shows. Her work includes the cult classic "May" (2002) and "The Woods" (Sony/MGM/UA). Her score for "May" solidified her reputation, garnering coverage from prestigious outlets and a Record Store Day 2022 release. Critics consistently praise her scores for their emotional impact and ability to elevate the narrative.
A professional voice-over artist and writer, Jammes continues to push boundaries and explore new creative avenues.
