The record label Initiated Records is repeating the success of Vinterjazz and invites you to an evening of smooth jazz tones and musical surrealism, as they present Vinnie Who and Ida Duelund in an intimate setting at H15 in Kødbyen. Together with an all-star house band, Vinnie Who will perform selections from his rich catalog, balancing between bossa nova, indie, and modal jazz. The concert will feature music from his latest release So Real Surreal, new material, and a handful of songs from previous albums. The soft nylon-string guitar from Vinnie’s set returns as the sextet performs Duelund’s critically acclaimed debut release: Sibo. A playful and imaginative album where Duelund freely and boldly moves between musical eras and places, as if mixing a bag of lollies. The sextet weaves a collage of medieval sounds, impressionism, improvisation, and Duelund’s heartfelt songs with lyrics in a fictional language. Beautifully lit by visual artist Maya SB, it will be an evening that stretches conventional musical categories, and where surreal interplay and beautiful soundscapes speak their own gentle language.
