PREYRS, a visceral new force in alternative rock, is the new incarnation of Belfast rock artist Amy Montgomery and drummer/producer Michael Mormecha. Fusing raw alternative rock energy with the weight of metal, their music is an electrifying clash of aggression and euphoria, darkness and uplift, chaos and control.
Their forthcoming album is a cathartic journey through resilience and transformation, with debut single Wave of Wisdom encapsulating their fierce yet gothic anthemic sound— where healing and rage collide in perfect harmony.
Known for electrifying live performances, PREYRS make their UK festival debut at Bloodstock Open Air this August, as well as appearing at Stendhal Festival in Ireland, before supporting New Model Army across Europe this winter.
Nominated as 'Best Live Act' and 'Best Artist' at the Northern Ireland Music Prize, Amy’s undeniably fierce and captivating front person energy has been her secret weapon often described as ‘otherworldly’ or ‘a force of nature’.

The first thing that grabs your attention about Irish singer songwriter Amy Montgomery, apart from her Bohemian look, is her raw and beautiful voice honed from relentless busking and touring throughout Ireland, UK, Europe and Australia.
Her vocals seem to channel the spirit of Janis Joplin and Grace Slick whilst also acknowledging one of her favourites Alanis Morissette. After 5 years of carving the
best representation of her music, Amy delivers a fresh, edgy and original live performance with her full band. Performing barefoot, adorned in warpaint and flamboyantly designed stage outfits, the shows are always highly charged with emotions swinging from happiness and smiles to audience members literally weeping!
