Dave Favours & The Roadside Ashes

Join Dave Favours & the Roadside Ashes when they launch their new double A-sided 7” single Walking/Waterfront Blues on Friday, July 4 at MoshPit in Erskineville. Walking is a cover of the Eastern Dark classic and features the Eastern Dark’s Bill Gibson on backing vocals. Waterfront Blues is a Favours original and the first track to be lifted from their forthcoming album, Service Station Chicken, which is due out in November. Both showcase the band’s twangy indie rock sound perfectly. Joining them on the night on the night are good friends Ben Leece & Left of the Dial and Fähm. Ben Leece and Left of the Dial are no strangers to this town and the live experience has to be seen to be believed. They’ll be performing material from Ben’s back catalogue and their highly anticipated, socially and politically-charged forthcoming album. Fähm are a supergroup featuring many well-known Newcastle luminaries. Picture Tom Waits fronting the Gun Club. Expect some surprise special guests as well. Tickets are on sale now.
